Acclaim for Schubert Program premiere at Phillips Collection
For the first time in its long history the Phillips Collection Concert Series featured an all-Schubert piano program. Irina Nuzova chose to present the seemingly incompatible Valses Nobles with a profoundly moving performance of Sonata Bb Major, D.960 -- both works composed in the last years of Schubert's life. Following the sold-out concert Irina offered thoughtful and illuminating commentary in sharing her experience preparing for the concert. The interview is featured live here by the Phillips Collection as a podcast, together with selections from the Sonata.
